I think of myself as a collector of eclectic and inspiring moments, capturing your story and creating a little bit of magic to wonder over for years to come.

Hey there, I’m Adam, welcome to my world!

So, a bit about me.

I was introduced to the Macedon Ranges by Mum & Dad when I was two and have never left! I grew up on a small farm just outside of Kyneton which has given me a true appreciation for this country way of life, and you’ll find a lot of that translates through my photography. I have the most beautiful and supportive wife (who believe it or not, shared the school bus with me before I even knew her!) and two amazing kids that are growing up waaaay too fast! Think ponies and online gaming!

Me. I’m really a wanna-be 21 year old rock star trapped in a 40 something chassis! A musician way before becoming a photographer, more comfortable in a pair of black jeans and black band ’T’! I still play and it’s usually loud and played through a Marshall stack! Usual habits of mine are at least two coffees before noon, a cup of tea before bed, home made pizza, contemplating my next Insta post long before it hits, morning walks with the dog, fixing things, building things, reversing trailers, cutting firewood, generally getting my hands dirty.

There’s always been a frustrated creative inside of me. If it wasn’t a guitar in my hands then it was my Grandpa’s old Nikon FG that I’d be trying my creativity on. Photography was always a joy for me since my teens and over time, especially with the introduction of digital SLR’s, it was inevitable that I’d have to do something about it. So with this growing romance for photography, in 2013 I decided to share this passion with the world and founded Journey By Light Photography. Now years later I’m an accomplished photographer of so many genres, blessed and humbled to call this my day job.
There’s a lot more I could say but I hope the passion, pride, enthusiasm and joy I have for my work translates through the images you find here. I appreciate the ‘drop in’ and hope to see you on the other side of my lens soon.
