Cupids Under The Canopy | Melbourne Elopement Photographer
We’ve got another love story for you, and again, another one that despite the current situation, went ahead anyway. When Kari & Nick first made contact with us, plans where to elope at Cactus Country, Strathmerton. Then the pandemic put a spanner in the works and they decided to postpone. Restrictions soon lifted and Kari & Nick decided it was back on with a change of venue, this time at King Lakes ‘Forest Weddings’. Late May is always a risky time of year for outdoor celebrations so everyone packed umbrellas expecting the worst. Of course a passing shower came through right on time and soaked the forest floor leaving Nick to find shelter waiting anxiously for his bride. Kari was running late (she had to turn around and go back home to grab the bouquet!) leaving Nick to sweat it out just a little longer! It all turned out ok in the end, the rain passed and Kari made her way through the forest along the path emerging from the ferns to a very happy and relieved Nick! While they proclaimed their vows under the tall canopy of gums, their parents witnessed and were moved by the couples adoration for each other and a few tears were shed. It was a honour to be amongst such an intimate and joyful celebration and we wish them well on their future journey.
