They say “all good things come in small packages”…….and they do!! When we met Brooke, Jaida & Grayson on an August evening we didn’t know that they’d be also bringing the sunshine with them! There was so much to love about this country themed shoot, the cheeky smiles, dusty lanes, big open spaces, rusty gates and a ride in Brookes affectionately named ute, ‘HERVY’. There was even a flash of lightning towards the end 😉⚡️

We’ve got another love story for you, and again, another one that despite the current situation, went ahead anyway. When Kari & Nick first made contact with us, plans where to elope at Cactus Country, Strathmerton. Then the pandemic put a spanner in the works and they decided to postpone. Restrictions soon lifted and Kari & Nick decided it was back on with a change of venue, this time at King Lakes ‘Forest Weddings’. Late May is always a risky time of year for outdoor celebrations so everyone packed umbrellas expecting the worst….

The current predicament we find ourselves in now with the global pandemic has devastated many wedding plans this year and has had couples either postponing or adapting to the government mandates. When Jennifer & Norman called us a month out from their planned wedding day we gladly obliged. Their initial plan was to have the big day with a generous guest list of nearest and dearest at Beaufort but with stage 3 restrictions enforced could only plan for a party of 5. By the time their wedding day came around, they were lucky enough to invite a few more guests with a relaxing of restrictions. Kyneton’s historic and iconic ‘Old Rectory’ made for the perfect venue for this adorably ‘young at heart’ pair…

There’s the big weddings with all the bells and whistles and family and friends who come from near and far to help celebrate. Or, there’s Sandra & Chris. Their guest list included their two adorable two daughters, aptly taking on the role of flowergirls and Sandra’s parents who witnessed a honest, laidback and heartfelt ceremony. Their DIY wedding started at Hepburns ‘The Edge’, an architecturally designed luxury building….

As restrictions recently were lifted, initiated by a fall in positive Covid-19 cases, we felt that we could no longer capture an honestly depiction of how the lockdowns had affected you. And now, as it seems, restrictions may well be enforced again with a steady rise in cases in Victoria alone. There’s no denying it, this year (as of June 25th) there have been 488,901 deaths globally due to Covid-19. That’s more than Malaria, Homicides, Suicides, Influenza and Malnutrition, and in only 6 months…
